Spencer is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and the assistant director of the BIG ABA clinic in Klamath Falls. He has 10 years of experience working in the behavior analytic field, from behavior technician to clinical supervisor. He has worked in various administrative and development capacities, all while working directly with clients and their families. He has experience providing behavior analytic services to clients ages 1-18, and has worked primarily with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, although he has had frequent opportunities to work with clients who also had diagnoses of ADHD, anxiety, depression, and other comorbid mental health concerns. He especially enjoys working with individuals who engage in high levels of problem behavior, teaching functional communication skills, and in training procedures for behavior technician staff. He is a certified trainer in the SafetyCare crisis management system, and has lead and presented research at major conferences on staff training strategies, as well as the use of Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports in a behavioral day treatment setting. He loves working in a field where he gets to make a difference, and the fact that he can do so while being a human jungle gym is just icing on the cake.
